Our client is seeking a proactive Junior Treasury Dealer to join their dynamic team in Guernsey. This full-time role offers the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in managing the Channel Islands Repo, Money Market, and Foreign Exchange books. Job Duties: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Bank’s Repo, Money Market, and Foreign Exchange books. Place and take funds via the Repo & Money Markets, ensuring adequate levels of funds in the Bank’s correspondent accounts. Enhance returns on the Bank’s funds while maintaining liquidity within internal and regulatory requirements. Support reporting requirements for the desk and manage the Bank’s client deposit interest rate structure. Prepare and publish deposit rate sheets for client-facing teams while providing ad-hoc client deposit rates. Provide clients with quotations of spot and forward foreign exchange rates, monitoring exposure and arranging cover in the interbank market. Collaborate with Treasury and client-facing teams to promote the Bank’s services and develop new and existing counterparty and client relationships. Assist in reviewing and updating Treasury procedure manuals. Job Requirements: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. A strong academic background, ideally as a recent graduate or nearing completion of a relevant degree. High self-motivation, effective time management, and exceptional organisational skills. A calm and stable temperament, with the ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure from active markets. Excellent numerical, communication, and interpersonal skills for the clear and concise provision of instructions and advice.
