Back to ResultsOur client is currently seeking a Credit Controller to join their Finance team in Guernsey. This role can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis, with working hours ranging between 32 and 37.5 hours per week. The position is permanent. Job Duties: Conduct credit, compliance and due diligence checks to approve or decline trade account customer applications. Create, maintain and monitor customer accounts to ensure accuracy and risk mitigation. Perform periodic credit checks and manage credit limit changes. Provide support to the Sales & Marketing team to meet Business Partner Screening requirements. Proactively chase aged accounts receivables and issue monthly payment reminders and year-end statements. Provide copy invoices and resolve invoice-related queries as required. Monitor shared inboxes and respond to trade and marketplace customer queries. Post and allocate daily customer cash receipts. Process payment remittances and vendor invoice deductions. Input sales invoices and coordinate return order processing. Process customer refunds and vendor purchase invoices. Prepare month-end reporting, including bad debt provisions and write-offs. Assist the Customer Care and Call Centre teams with sales order and finance enquiries. Ensure up-to-date documented procedures are maintained for key tasks. Job Requirements: Part ACCA/ACA/CAT/AAT qualified or thorough understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles obtained through experience. Experience of working within a finance department. Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail. Excellent working knowledge of Excel. Ability to work autonomously and take initiative. Good communication and organisational skills. Capability to work within a team and to deadlines. Previous experience in credit control is desirable. Basic understanding of VAT and knowledge of Dynamics NAV or similar accounting software is an advantage.
