Back to ResultsA leading technology development firm based in London, is in search of a technology enthusiast to join its Quant team. This role involves hands-on technical knowledge within an engineering team who are responsible for the development / maintenance of a high-performance trading and research infrastructure.
In the role you will contribute to the design and maintenance of the firm's extensive compute infrastructure. This encompasses operating system platforms, software development tooling, high-performance computing, networking, and storage for research and trading. You will engage in a wide range of technology initiatives, examples include workload scheduling design and implementation. Fleet management, clustered file system design and operation, software design and life cycle (SDLC), kernel and network performance tuning for low-latency and high-throughput applications, and metrics collection and data mining analysis.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate interest in understanding how technology operates. It is important you hold a degree in computer science or a related technical qualification. A minimum of 5 years experience gained in a similar role. Be Proficient in languages such as Python, Golang, Rust or similar. Knowledge of Linux-based systems and networking is advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with good organizational and time management abilities are essential.
