Our client is looking for an Accountant to assist in preparing financial statements and maintaining the integrity of accounting records for their clients. This role involves a range of responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. The successful candidate will be tasked with drafting financial statements, auditing computerised accounting records, and reviewing minute books, statutory records, trust documents, and correspondence files. Additionally, there will be opportunities to liaise with auditors, facilitate their requirements, and assist in the training of employees by sharing specialist knowledge. Maintaining a sound technical knowledge of various computer systems, including Excel, iManage, and NavOne, is essential. Job Duties: Drafting financial statements Auditing computerised accounting records Reviewing minute books, statutory records, trust documents, and correspondence files Liaising with auditors to facilitate their work and requirements Assisting in the training of employees by passing on specialist knowledge Maintaining sound technical knowledge of various computer systems, including Excel, iManage, and NavOne Reviewing exception reports and clearing exceptions arising Problem-solving accounting queries Handling special projects and complaints investigations Ensuring timely processing of fees for financial statement preparations Job Requirements: Strong knowledge of computerised accounting systems Strong knowledge of the preparation of financial statements for Trusts and Companies Good communication and presentation skills Knowledge of Guernsey’s regulatory environment Part-qualified accountant or studying towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) What You’ll Love: You will be a vital part of a dynamic team committed to professional excellence and high standards of client service.
