Our client is seeking a Senior / Fund Accountant to provide efficient, timely, and high-quality accounting services to a portfolio of fund administration clients. This role plays a critical part in assisting the management team to develop new business opportunities and enhance the level of client service and profitability. The position requires a minimum of 2-3 years’ accounting experience within the offshore funds industry and offers an opportunity to work in a growing and dynamic organisation. Job Duties: Undertaking all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial statements and investor capital accounts, and capital adequacy and solvency tests. Calculating management and performance fees, handling ad-hoc client and investor queries. Agreeing timetables, ensuring adherence, and maintaining proactive communication throughout the process. Co-ordinating the audit process on various companies and fund structures. Advising on potential accounting issues and current best practices, sharing knowledge, expertise, and guidance with both the team and clients. Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Developing client-specific knowledge to facilitate the delivery of ad-hoc queries. Undertaking signatory responsibilities as required. Ensuring that all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations. Updating timesheets on a daily basis. Assisting in the training and development of other staff members. Job Requirements: Minimum 2-3 years’ accounting experience in the offshore funds industry. A recognised accounting qualification with familiarity in UK GAAP and IFRS. Advanced Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines effectively.
