Our client is seeking a temporary Senior Financial Accountant for a 6-month contract. The role involves preparing and reviewing accounts for trusts, individuals, and businesses concerning pensions administration. The post holder will also be responsible for developing processes and procedures, implementing improvements, ensuring tax compliance, and meeting accounting deadlines for individual and corporate pension schemes. They will report to the Finance Operations Manager. Job Duties: Provide exemplary accountancy skills to ensure timely delivery of high-quality accounting and reporting to support both external clients and internal personnel. Assist in the accounting function for various products including private client pension schemes, RATS, EBTs, trusts, and corporate pension schemes. Provide technical support to the Finance Team to enhance expertise in accounts preparation and tax returns. Stay updated on changes in tax and financial reporting legislation and statutory requirements. Prepare and review statutory financial accounts and statements to the highest standards, in compliance with legal and professional requirements. Guide, support, and train a team of Finance Officers in the preparation of accounts. Encourage and drive personal development for oneself and the team. Build excellent working relationships with clients and business partners. Complete additional duties as required to drive business success. Adopt and reflect the organisation's values. Job Requirements: A professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (or equivalent). A working knowledge of FRS 102. Experience in trust accounting. A logical approach to assessing productivity and implementing solutions. Understanding of HMRC tax reporting and annual filing is beneficial. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and drive business efficiency. Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to supporting a successful team.
