Back to ResultsOur client is seeking a People & Culture Officer who will be responsible for providing administration and support services in relation to all aspects of the people function across the trust group. This role involves contributing to the development of various systems in line with new initiatives and improvements while maintaining a proactive approach to the enhancement of processes. Confidentiality is paramount in this position. The successful candidate will engage with the employee experience throughout the employee life cycle, from recruitment to payroll processing. This full-time role requires a focused and dedicated individual who can manage the varied responsibilities while effectively liaising with team members and senior management. The People & Culture Officer will assist in the preparation of reports and provide essential support for wellbeing initiatives within the organisation. Job Duties: Prepare correspondence and documentation throughout the employee life cycle and resolve day-to-day queries from employees. Administer the medical insurance scheme and staff pension plan, liaising with assigned brokers as required. Research and assist with the organisation of wellbeing events and initiatives in line with the wellbeing strategy. Actively participate in the full recruitment process, advising managers on recruitment matters and conducting interviews as necessary, along with managing the onboarding and induction of new employees. Process the monthly payroll and submit monthly returns. Collate data for the Polymetrix salary survey submission and analyse the results. Resolve staff matters of a difficult and sensitive nature while providing guidance to managers and Directors, including recognising when issues need escalation. Adhere to employment laws, compliance and GDPR regulations, along with in-house policies and procedures. Assist in preparing reports and statistics as needed. Perform 4-eye checks on draft correspondence, policies, procedures, payroll, recruitment offers, calculations, and payments. Develop Pinpoint and People HR, ensuring team members receive the necessary training and guides. Contribute to the agenda for weekly team meetings and ensure that action points are followed up. Deliver ad-hoc projects as assigned. Job Requirements: Possess a very good technical knowledge and understanding for effective delivery within the People and Culture arena. Attained Level 3 CIPD Certificate and may be working towards Level 5 CIPD Diploma while fulfilling CPD requirements. Solid understanding of local employment legislation and best practices, with awareness of legislation in Switzerland, Cayman and the UK. Effective communication skills and ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals, producing documentation with high attention to detail and accuracy. Capacity to identify and resolve moderately complex issues with appropriate support and direction. Proactive and self-sufficient to meet deadlines and objectives, seeking guidance when necessary. Ability to work to specified standards and service levels while considering the broader implications and risks of tasks. Lead by example, demonstrating a positive and committed approach in all responsibilities.
