Back to ResultsOur client is seeking an enthusiastic accounting professional to temporarily support the Internal Finance department. This contract position is anticipated to last for a period of approximately 4 to 4.5 months, ideally commencing in mid-February 2026. The successful candidate will play a critical role in internal financial reporting and will assist the team with various financial responsibilities. This is not a generic administrative role; instead, it requires an individual with proven experience in internal financial reporting. The role aims to relieve the pressure on team members currently managing additional workloads. The individual will be expected to work in a friendly and progressive environment and will have diverse responsibilities, including preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal reports and consolidated annual financial statements. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required, along with a relevant professional qualification where possible. The position offers a valuable opportunity for individuals to demonstrate their technical know-how and communication skills while contributing positively to the team’s objectives. Job Duties: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal reporting as well as the consolidated annual financial statements Assist with debt collection, cash flow management, and expenditure analysis Support the team by posting accruals and prepayments Prepare basic UK GAAP consolidated financial statements and working papers for auditors Undertake any other relevant duties as requested Job Requirements: Sound technical knowledge and demonstrated ability in internal financial reporting Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel Familiarity with PlainSail is advantageous but not essential Relevant professional qualification preferred, along with active CPD compliance Very good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals Ability to produce and/or review moderately complex documentation with high attention to detail and accuracy Proven capability to work to deadlines and adhere to project plans, ensuring objectives are met with moderate direction Ability to evaluate solutions for various situations and suggest the most relevant courses of action, considering the impact on the business and client service excellence What You’ll Love:This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-established, director-led firm with a commitment to excellence and professional growth.
