Back to ResultsOur client is seeking a Junior Lending Specialist to join their dynamic team in a thriving organisation. This role is a fantastic opportunity for candidates eager to begin their career in banking or lending, offering ample prospects for growth and advancement. The position involves working within a busy front office lending team, where full training will be provided. You will engage with clients, resolve queries, and assess mortgage and loan applications while adhering to agreed Service Level Agreements. With a focus on delivering exceptional client service, you will also act as both an internal and external credit advisor, reviewing and renewing existing loan facilities, and presenting cases at the bank's credit committee. Collaboration with various departments, such as Credit Risk and Credit Operations, is essential to ensure adherence to defined risk strategies and foster a strong risk culture in product design and case submissions. Job Duties: Work as part of a busy front office lending team Meet clients and answer queries regarding mortgage and loan applications Deliver exceptional client service via email or telephone Act as both an internal and external credit advisor Assess client structures and provide client-centric solutions Review and renew existing loan facilities Present cases at the bank’s credit committee Assist other Lending Officers in the approval and conclusion of the facilities they underwrite Collaborate with departments including Credit Risk and Credit Operations Ensure credit facilities align with defined risk strategy Make recommendations for continuous improvement to the lending process Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) lending targets Job Requirements: Hold or be willing to undertake relevant qualifications, e.g. CEMAP Strong administrative skills Speed, accuracy, and reliability in task execution Excellent communication skills with a preparedness to engage with external customers Cooperative attitude and ability to work well within a team What You’ll Love: Joining our client’s team means being part of a growing organisation that values employee development and offers various opportunities for progression.
