This entry-level opportunity allows individuals to gain hands-on experience in both commercial and personal lines underwriting. The successful candidate will support the underwriting team by assessing risk, processing applications, and organising surveyor visits, all while learning the essential fundamentals of insurance underwriting across a diverse portfolio of clients and policies. Job Duties: Work with and support colleagues to ensure the delivery of a high-quality underwriting service and meet business objectives. Take personal responsibility for delivering top-notch service while rising to challenges. Develop knowledge continually to achieve maximum effectiveness in the role. Meet the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers. Demonstrate a clear understanding of customers' needs to ensure high-quality service. Manage time effectively by prioritising and organising workload to meet deadlines. Refer to the Team Manager for guidance as necessary. Act as an example of the values and philosophy of our client. Job Requirements: Mathematics and English language GCSE grades A to C (or equivalent). Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional, approachable, and friendly manner. Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for making decisions based on available information. Capability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with team members. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. Strong IT and digital literacy. A curious mindset with a willingness to learn. Professionalism and integrity in all dealings. Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
