Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join the People Operations team, based in either Guernsey or Jersey. This full-time role involves 37.5 contracted hours per week and plays a crucial part in delivering an exceptional employee experience through effective communication and streamlined people policies. The successful candidate will serve as the Subject Matter Expert in Employee Relations, Policy, and Process, ensuring all processes are simplified and understandable for employees. Key responsibilities include managing expectations across various stakeholder groups, optimising staff deployment for skill development and cross-project collaboration, and overseeing compliance with local legislation related to employee relations. Maintaining up-to-date records, monitoring themes arising from ER cases, and supporting leaders in handling ER matters are integral to this role. Furthermore, the successful integration of the organisation’s objectives with maximum capacity growth is vital for continuous success. This position also requires assisting in the maintenance of employee contracts, contributing to leadership training, and providing support across the People Operations team. Job Duties: Coordinate and implement people policies with full understanding for all employees Ensure compliance with local legislation in Employee Relations processes Oversee all ER cases, including delegation and tracking Monitor and report on ER case themes, ensuring records are accurate Upskill and support relevant leaders in managing ER matters Ensure compliance with housing and work permit legislation Maintain legal and regulatory compliance within the People Operations team Assist in the maintenance of employee contracts Contribute to Career Coach and Leadership training Job Requirements: CIPD Level 3 or above (or equivalent) Hold the right to work in Guernsey or Jersey Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and programmes Experience with HR technologies (e.g., Workday) Background in employee relations and case management Experience in reward (compensation and benefits) Understanding of housing, work permit, and visa requirements Familiarity with employment laws and regulations in BCI (desirable) Experience in competitor reward analysis and budgeting (desirable) Strong project management and analytical skills (desirable) Ability to handle pressure and manage conflicting demands What You’ll Love: This role offers a unique opportunity to play a vital part in shaping employee experiences and organisational policies within a collaborative and supportive environment.
