Our client is seeking a Practice Manager to serve as the operational backbone of a creative studio with exciting clients and ambitious projects. This role is crucial in creating structure, clarity, and calm within a bustling environment. The successful candidate will thrive in a hands-on position, ensuring smooth operations, high standards, and meticulous attention to detail. Working closely with the directors and supported by a part-time Practice Secretary, the Practice Manager will encompass responsibilities in office management, finance administration, systems, and day-to-day operations. The role involves 35 hours of work per week, with flexibility in hours by negotiation. Job Duties: Overseeing administration across the practice, including accounts support, legal support, and front of house. Managing bookkeeping, payroll processes, statutory returns, supplier payments, and invoicing. Liaising with banks, pension providers, payroll services, and other financial third parties. Reviewing WIP, chargeable time, and project progress against budgets and fee agreements. Coordinating IT systems, software licensing, internal support, and future systems planning. Managing office infrastructure, facilities, and key supplier relationships. Maintaining cyber security, data protection, and GDPR compliance. Defining and embedding policies, procedures, and service standards. Supporting wider business improvement and change initiatives. Assisting with occasional event coordination and travel planning. Job Requirements: Strong accounts and administration skills. Highly organised and comfortable taking ownership of tasks. Confident in working independently with a proactive and solutions-focused approach. Ability to remain calm under pressure and interact well with others. Comfortable dealing with third parties and external providers. Familiarity with Xero, WorkflowMax or similar software (training can be provided).
