Our client has created a new role for a Technical Consultant in Enterprise Architecture, driven by increasing demand. This permanent position is a backfill for a leaver within the Operations/ Consultancy team and will be located in Guernsey. The successful candidate will report to the Design & Innovation Manager. This role plays a pivotal part in defining and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks, ensuring that technology strategies align with business goals and regulatory requirements. The consultant will be responsible for developing high-level solution architectures for complex programmes, ensuring integration across systems, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders. In addition, this role involves facilitating workshops and communicating architectural concepts to non-technical audiences, establishing governance processes, assessing risks, and driving the adoption of best practices in modern architecture patterns. Job Duties: Define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and principles. Align technology strategies with business goals and regulatory requirements. Develop high-level solution architectures for complex programmes and projects. Ensure interoperability and integration across systems and platforms. Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders. Facilitate workshops and communicate architectural concepts to non-technical audiences. Establish architecture governance processes and ensure adherence to standards. Assess risks and ensure compliance with security, data, and regulatory requirements. Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on enterprise customers. Drive adoption of best practices and modern architecture patterns (e.g., cloud-native, microservices). Job Requirements: Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture within telecoms, IT services, or complex enterprise environments. Strong understanding of architecture frameworks. Experience aligning IT strategy with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Demonstrable capability in producing high-level and solution architectures for large programmes. Experience with integration across multi-platform environments (cloud, on-premise, hybrid). Strong knowledge of security, data governance, and compliance standards. Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor. Ability to lead architecture governance and design authority processes. Experience delivering in client-facing consultancy roles.
