Back to ResultsThis full-time position offers a remarkable opportunity for a qualified Dental Nurse to contribute to a dynamic dental practice. The role encompasses the delivery of high-quality patient care, assisting in both cosmetic and restorative dental treatments, as well as specialised areas such as orthodontics and facial aesthetics. The successful candidate will work alongside a supportive team, committed to fostering a positive working atmosphere where professional development is encouraged. Following the probation period, there is a Study Agreement in place to ensure committed team members remain with the practice for at least two years. Additionally, a generous loyalty bonus is available for nurses who continue their journey beyond qualification. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm, and Friday from 8 am to 2 pm, with the prospect of Saturday work if desired. Job Duties: Tidying and preparing the surgery. Anticipating treatments and preparing instruments. Cleaning and sterilising instruments. Passing instruments to the Dentist as instructed. Maintaining sterile conditions within the surgery, following Health & Safety guidelines. Supporting patients to ensure they are comfortable and at ease at all times. Assisting the Dentist in recording patient information accordingly. Carrying out stock control including replacement components. Tidying the laboratory and kitchen area. Occasional reception duties such as answering phones, booking patients, post runs, and facilitating smooth operations within the practice. Making dental models in the laboratory, with full training provided. Preparing tea and coffee for the Dentist and staff as necessary. Job Requirements: Good command of English, both speaking and writing. Licence to live and work in Guernsey (unless similarly qualified). A willingness to work in a team environment. Comfortable working on their feet all day. A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a friendly nature. Energetic and able to anticipate team needs. Reliability, loyalty, and dependability are key traits sought. Dental Nurse Qualification is essential. Good communication skills, some IT literacy, and enthusiasm for providing high standards of patient care. Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a close-knit team. Capability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a high standard of care.
