Our client is seeking a Manager for their Technology Consulting team, located in Guernsey. This full-time position involves leading technology consulting initiatives that enhance clients’ trust in their digital environments. The role requires effective project management and collaboration with diverse teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions. JOB DUTIES: Lead the end-to-end delivery of client-facing technology projects, ensuring alignment from discovery to implementation and support. Undertake project management activities by defining scope, plans, milestones, and responsibilities, while managing delivery to budget and quality expectations. Act as a technical product owner, setting priorities and translating business objectives into clear requirements and user stories. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business processes, facilitating workshops to define functional and non-functional requirements. Manage project and product backlogs, balancing business value and team capacity. Provide clear direction to development teams, holding members accountable for delivering high-quality outcomes. Bridge communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating needs and considerations effectively. Work with developers and solution architects to ensure proposed designs meet business needs while being maintainable and secure. Provide timely reporting to senior stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and decisions. Proactively identify and resolve project issues, risks, and dependencies to maintain momentum. Build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams, coaching junior team members and contributing to practice development. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Strong academic background, ideally with a bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience. Project Management certification such as AgilePM Practitioner, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Scrum Master, with demonstrable project management experience. Extensive experience managing the end-to-end delivery of technology projects or digital products in a consulting environment. Experience leading software development teams, both onshore and offshore. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Proficient business analysis skills, including requirements definition and stakeholder engagement. Experience acting as a product owner or equivalent, managing and prioritising delivery backlogs. Sufficient technical understanding to engage with developers and architects regarding solution design and technical risk. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Strong verbal communication, presentation, and reporting skills. Effective team-working and people-management skills, including the ability to delegate and develop junior staff. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Familiarity with formal methodologies and risk, quality, security, and governance protocols. An understanding of the application of AI technologies in project delivery and software development.
