Back to ResultsA leading provider of telecoms and IT, mobile data and broadband services as well as data centre and enterprise solutions to a large base of customers is looking to hire a network & solutions engineer in Stanley, Falkland Islands.

Collaborate with senior management to design cost access and networking solutions for major customers and prepare technical proposals. Provide direct technical and operational support to managed service customers and offer first-line support to the wider customer base when needed. Support the design, build and operation of the company’s network as well as day-to-day operations including customer provisioning and fault resolution. Work towards personal and group performance targets while being mindful of the company’s commercial goals. Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal and safety standards relevant to the telecommunications industry.
To be suitable for this role, you will have current Cisco certification (CCNP in Routing and Switching) and experience in large-scale converged customer networks including security, voice, wireless and video solutions. Experience with modern Microsoft operating systems (server and desktop) and a high proficiency in troubleshooting. Strong customer care skills with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. Be familiar with data protection laws, health and safety responsibilities and relevant telecommunications regulations. Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and participate in a callout rota. A driving licence is required, as are a technical degree or recognised IT qualification and proven experience in a technical environment with an appreciation of the telecommunications/IT market.
