The position acts as the approved MLRO, serving as the main contact for the local Financial Intelligence Service and managing all suspicious activity reports from receipt through investigation, documentation, and external reporting. The role ensures effective systems, controls, policies, and procedures are maintained, provides technical AML/CFT/CPF training to staff, and acts as the primary liaison for regulatory and law enforcement enquiries.
The ideal candidate has at least five years’ management-level experience in financial crime roles, preferably as an MLRO or deputy MLRO and holds a relevant compliance or financial crime qualification.
