Back to ResultsAn established local telecommunications company is seeking a Facilities Technician to join its Facilities team.
The successful candidate will largely be responsible for the data centre including daily data centre walk rounds to ensure these critical areas are compliant with all policies and adhere to strict industry standards, ensuring that the environment meets service level agreements.
You will also be responsible for ensuring any issues and requests raised through Service Now are resolved as soon as possible, fire suppression systems and alarms, escalating and disseminating information regarding technical issues and ensuring the professional integrity of the data centre.
You will also be responsible for providing basic training on the security system, assisting with the maintenance of other electrical systems, raising business cases for essential projects and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of IT systems rack structures and back up systems as well as a strong knowledge of data centres. You will be a strong communicator as you will be dealing with all areas of the business. A full, clean drivers licence is also required and you will also be required to join a call out rota to provide out of hours cover, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
