Back to ResultsAn established insurance provider is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Commercial Underwriter to support the growth and servicing of a portfolio of existing clients.
The role involves assessing and evaluating commercial risks, negotiating policy terms within delegated authority as well as ensuring all activity aligns with underwriting standards, regulatory requirements and business objectives. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining and developing strong relationships with clients, brokers and capacity providers, whilst also coaching colleagues on more complex risks.
Applicants should have a solid understanding of the general insurance market and prior experience in an underwriting role. A Diploma in Insurance (or progress towards it) is desirable, along with a minimum of five GCSEs, including Maths and English.
