Back to ResultsAre you someone whose calm and courteous telephone manner puts people at ease? You’ll play a key role in creating a positive first impression for patients contacting the practice, both over the phone and when welcoming them at reception.
As the Telephonist and Receptionist for a local doctor’s surgery, you will be the first point of contact for patients, both over the phone and in person. You will handle all incoming calls to the surgery and manage a wide range of requests, from arranging patient home visits to responding to enquiries and transferring calls to the relevant PA, in line with the practice’s policies and with strict confidentiality maintained at all times.
Additional responsibilities include booking patient appointments, updating patient records, and carrying out general administrative duties such as photocopying and managing incoming and outgoing post.
This is a part-time role (25 hours per week), and full training will be provided.
